More about Dr. Whitney Goodman, PT, DPT, PCES
Whitney holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina and graduated a member of the Alpha Eta National Honors Society. She started her physical therapy career working in acute care at Duke Hospital, treating patients recovering from major traumatic injuries or undergoing significant surgeries.
After experiencing her own pregnancy with twins and undergoing physical rehabilitation after the birth of her daughters, Whitney knew that she wanted to provide physical therapy to directly help women rise above physical injury and stigma to achieve their goals. She pursued specialized training in pelvic floor physical therapy, with a special interest in pregnancy and postpartum care. She believes in a whole-body, whole-person approach and is passionate about listening, educating, and working with women to address pelvic floor issues, including incontinence, diastasis recti, and prolapse, and helping women feel and function their best.
In addition to her passion for women’s health, Whitney is a dancer and choreographer, and currently teaches tap dance at Elon University as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Performing Arts. When she is not in the clinic or dance studio, Whitney loves to run, bike, swim, garden, and spend time with her family.
